Vida Spa Splashes In South Lake Union
| By Alyson Davis |
Canadian-based Vida Spa (South Lake Union, 2200 Westlake; 888.865.2630; vidawellness.com) landed in Seattle’s new Pan Pacific Hotel in April (the first Vida spa to hit the United States), where 7,000 square feet plays host to 17 luxurious treatment rooms, including three couples’ rooms, four pedicure lounges and an indulgent relaxation room. Immerse yourself in Vida’s blend of Indian ayurvedic science and Western healing techniques with an original infrared sauna—a detoxification tool to boost your immune system, relieve muscle pains and improve skin quality, complimentary for all spa guests. A must-try treatment: the Vida Body Wrap ($140 for 60 minutes), which begins with a warm sugar exfoliation to remove rough skin and is followed by a nourishing shea butter blanket wrap and a relaxing scalp massage. >> After outgrowing her University Village location, Spa Scotta owner Jessica Campbell decided to stretch her legs, relocating just across the street in January. The new digs, which weigh in at 3,600 square feet (up 1,200 square feet from the previous location), include an expanded boutique carrying Cosabella lingerie and Dogeared jewelry, and a brand-new beauty bar to sample and buy skin care products from Murad, Dermologica and Pevonia. For flirty lashes that last for weeks, try Spa Scotta’s new Lash Perm ($65), and say goodbye to your curler and mascara.
