Neighborhood kids bring drawings of Mes Amis pet shop’s resident kitty to owner Nicole Ryan, and she knows many of the pooches that come through her powder blue boutique. It’s just how she envisioned her shop, open since February near her Queen Anne home. The former Nordstrom kids’ buyer delights pet owners and animals alike with whimsical accessories such as pastel pink or blue or pistachio green cupcake-motif collars and leashes ($34.50–$49.50). Essentials—such as beds and chow—include Jax and Bones plush pillows in more than 35 designer prints ($105–$175) and Innova dog food for dogs of all ages (6.6- to 33-pound bags, $14.49–$49.49. “I care about presentation and packaging,” Ryan says, “but I also care about things being natural and healthy.”
