A spa experience in just a few short hours at Belltown’s Stylus salon
Wish you could spend a weekend at the spa, but don’t have the time? At Belltown’s Stylus salon (2321 Second Ave.; 206.789.5871; stylusseattle.net) you can pack all the benefits of a spa weekend into less than two hours. Open since March and the brainchild of creative director Robert Middleton (formerly of Gary Manuel and Halo) and business partner Jesus Escobar, the street-level salon features chandeliers lining the vaulted ceiling, rotating samplings of local art on white-washed walls and a dark wood floor that moonlights as a catwalk for occasional evening fashion shows. Downstairs, four body treatment rooms offer a soothing combination of candlelight and essential oils (grapefruit is a favorite). The signature Stylus Celebrity Treatment ($215) combines the Stylus Facial ($115) and Stylus Pedicure ($65) into 75 minutes of perfectly apportioned bliss as face and feet are massaged simultaneously. Have a little more time? Head back upstairs and take a seat at one of the 10 styling stations for a personalized cut (from $50) and color (from $90). Now you’re relaxed and ready to decide how to spend your weekend.
