FRIDAY, JUNE 26
Treeless Mountain at Northwest Film Forum
This multi-award-winning film by Korean-American filmmaker So Yong Kim is a semi-autobiographical story about young sisters growing up in Seoul. Small yet stunning, the story follows the girls as they are repeatedly abandoned by hapless adults and learn to fend for themselves, together, experiencing tiny triumphs—like grilled-grasshopper snacks they sell to earn money to live on. Times and prices vary. Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave.; 206.829.7863; nwfilmforum.org

Dog Mountain Farm Dinner
For the second year, David and Cindy Krepky, owners of Carnation’s Dog Mountain Farm, will bring their farm-to-table dinners to Washington’s growing population of locavores. The meals feature menus created by local chefs who use ingredients—produce and meats, cheeses and wines—from Dog Mountain Farm and other Washington producers. The threehour event, which includes a farm tour, features such mouthwatering options as orange-brandy marinated prawns, grilled pork chops with collard greens and fresh fettuccine with oyster mushrooms—selections sure to win over even the devoted fast-food lover. $75. 3 p.m. (tours); 4:30 p.m. (dinner); Dog Mountain Farm Dinners, 7026 Tolt Highlands Road NE, Carnation; 425.333.0833; dogmtnfarm.com

Seattle Pride Parade
Unfurl your rainbow flags and hop on a fabulous float—it’s time for the 35th annual Pride Parade. Last spring, there was a kerfuffle with the city over unpaid bills, but the show must go on! You can expect the usual unusual extravaganza. Downtown at the corner of Union Street and Fourth Avenue and proceeds to the Seattle Center. seattlepride.org
