Scoop: November Nerd Report
| By Brangien Davis |
One of the best things about Seattle is that you’re encouraged to fly your freak flag high—and if that flag happens to be emblazoned with a nerd-rrific symbol, then so much the better. Locally based Atoms Apparel has fully embraced this philosophy with its new line of T-shirts “for geeks, by geeks.” Run by a self-described bunch of hardware hackers whose idea of a good time is “retro-computing” (de- and re-constructing old technology and electronics), Atoms Apparel screen-prints geeky iconography on 100 percent cotton tees ($15.99–$17.99). Choose from images of a vacuum tube, an LED, a resistor, an Atari joystick, an old-school floppy disk and other nerdy pleasures. Say it loud and say it proud!
