Needle+Thread: New Seattle Street Style Blog

I've always wondered why Seattle, a city with a healthy local fashion scene, has never had a strong online fashion presence? Yes, a few fun, quirky (and sporadically updated) blogs crop up here and there, but I've yet to see a Seattle blogger create--and maintain--a Sartorlialist-style fashion blog with a focus on local style.

Fortunately, there's a new style blog on the block: Needle+Thread. Started in April, lead blogger Kam Martin has already posted 51 entries (that's 51 times more than the venerable Pike/Pine which hasn't been updated since January!).

So far, Needle+Thread has done a good job of showcasing everything from offbeat hipster types wandering through Pike Place Market to downtown shots of the well-financed fashion crowd. It will be interesting to see if Martin will eventually land on a specific style niche or if she'll continue with a broad fashion focus.
