Calling All Extras: Lynn Shelton Needs You!

Humpday director Lynn Shelton is going all Hollywood on us with her latest project, a gig directing the second season of an MTV Web series starring local bands and musicians (including The Maldives, Thee Emergency, the Moondoggies, Harvey Danger and more). Here's how you can use her fame to your advantage. Ever consider a career on the small, er, computer screen? 

I'd heard Shelton was looking for extras for the show, but this Facebook note from the Mayor's Office of Film and Music (yes, everyone is on FB) confirms it: 

Lynn Shelton (director of 'Humpday' - Magnolia Pictures) is directing the second season of MTV's web series, '$5 Cover', and they're taking applications for extras. The web series centers around 12 Seattle bands, and the extras will be playing the crowds at each live music show in the series. '$5 Cover' will be featured on MTV.com. Spots are available for episodes shooting now through August 31. To RSVP, email 5dollarcoverseattle@gmail.com with your name, preferred email address, and phone number, as well as your detailed availability Saturdays through Wednesdays, now through the end of August.
