Dr. Martens Opens a Pop-Up Shop Downtown

Find your inner alterna-teen this fall with a pair of combat boots. Dr Martens pop-up shop opens in downtown Seattle this week.

This week Dr. Martens (aka "Docs")--the literal sole of choice for flannel-clad Seattleites once upon a time--opens its first U.S. pop-up shop. Located just a few blocks from Pike Place Market, the shop will carry a vintage collection of boots made in England and limited edition collaborations of styles targeting younger folk (the most notable of these projects: Dr. Martens Stussy Deluxe Collection). And of course, press material from Dr. Martens assures the shop will be fully stocked with the Originals line that was all the rage during Seattle's alterna-heyday.

Head downtown and check what's supposed to be a rather barebones industrial space (pop-up shops are a great way for businesses to save money by NOT investing much in decor, leases, etc.) at 1509 2nd Ave. Who knows you might find something for yourself (relive your youth!) or that too-cool teen in your life. I'm not sure how long this temporary location will be open but I'm guessing we'll be seeing plenty of combat boot-filled shopping bags downtown this holiday season.
