We’re counting down the Christmas shopping days with an editors’ gift guide. Check back daily to find out our must-have items this holiday season.

If the return of bedbugs—bothersome, biting scourges that were mistakenly thought to have been wiped out in the mid-20th century—has you grossed out about traveling, you’re not the only one. Last year Seattle entrepreneur Sharon Stuart created BedVoyage, a line of heavenly soft travel linens, including bed sheets and pillowcases ($19 to $199), that pack into a small carry-on tote. The top and fitted bed sheets are stitched together at the bottom, while the pillowcases close with a snug zipper, preventing dust mites and other germs from creeping in while you sleep. Best of all, the whole line is created from organic, sustainable bamboo fibers, which are naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial and odor resistant.

Especially important these days since many airlines have yanked blankets and pillows from their flights due to the spread of the H1N1 virus: BedVoyage now also sells an embroidered travel-sized zipper pillow case in sage green or white for $19 (you can get a travel sized pillow at Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $4) and a travel blanket for $39 (sage green), both made with 100% organic bamboo.

Available at BedVoyage. 866.275.8656, bedvoyage.com
