Help Haiti in Seattle: Local Fundraising Events

You've seen the devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti and you've texted the suggested $5-10 from your mobile phone. But there's more you can do. In the coming weeks, restaurants and venues around Seattle are donating their skills, time and spaces to help the relief effort in Haiti. We've compiled a list of these events--get out and support these local businesses and the charitable organizations they're working with to aid Haiti. 


SATURDAY, JANUARY 23

Lunch at Mondello Ristorante in Magnolia. 1/23. Pay what you can. 11:30 a.m. to - 3 p.m. All proceeds go will go to the American Red Cross.

MONDAY, JANUARY 25

Café Campagne
will host a three-course bouillabaisse dinner  with a minimum donation of $100. Even cooler? The Inn at the Market will match the first $5,000 raised. Seatings begin at 5 p.m.  All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 26
Go to Pomegranate Bistro in Redmod for a Dine and Donate dinner featuring Haitian dishes created by Chef Lisa Dupar. Lunch and dinner. All proceeds to benefit Medical Teams International.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 31
Head over to the Tractor Tavern in Ballard and check out the Luvin’ Haiti benefit featurine The Tripwires, The Cute Lepers, Whalebones and Eugene Wendell & The Demon Rind. Doors at 8 p.m. Suggested donation of $10. All proceeds to benefit Hait relief and development.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7

World fusion R&B artist Alex Kajumulo will perform at the Triple Door. 2/7. Doors at 5 p.m. $15. Benefits the American Red Cross.

On March 20th there will be a benefit dinner at All Nations Soccer Bar and Restaurant in North Seattle. The tickets will be $35.00 each and will include dinner and entertainment.
