Join naturalists from Seattle Parks’ Camp Long on a guided night-time low-tide beach walk this Saturday night (1/30/10) from 9:15-11:15 pm. Adults and kids 6 and up will enjoy the unique opportunity to check out nudibranches, seastars, sea squirts and other nocturnal opportunists of the intertidal zone. Wear warm clothes and waterproof footwear, bring a flashlight if you have one, and be prepared to walk on slippery sea weed. Call 206.684.7434 to register. $8 for grown-ups, $6 for kids, meet at West Seattle’s Me-Kwa-Mooks/Emma Schmitz Beach (4503 Beach Dr SW, Seattle, WA 98116).
