Get out of the mall and into the arts—it’s time for the 64th annual Bellevue Arts Museum Artsfair. This hugely popular event features more than 300 juried exhibitors showcasing drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wearables and wood, as well as demonstrations by local and global artisans, and, of course, tasty sustenance. 7/23–7/25. Shakespeare in the Park: Romeo & Juliet and As You Like It

Nothing could stop Romeo from pursuing Juliet, despite countless obstacles—and the same goes for GreenStage, the Seattle theater company hellbent on putting on Shakespeare plays in city parks all summer long, despite interference from screaming babies, dogs gone wild and unseasonably chilly weather. This weekend, Discovery and Lincoln Parks come alive with tragic romance and pastoral comedy, when Romeo and Juliet and As You Like It hit the grass. Free. The Capitol Hill Block Party

Capitol Hill Block Party has grown from a one-day quirky collection of local bands performing outdoors on makeshift stages to three days and a major lineup. This year’s schedule includes local faves like The Dutchess and the Duke and The Maldives.
