Hey guys, you'll be happy to know that we're listening to your feedback. Tomorrow's Chowdown will have a few new things that should make this event run much smoother including: port-a-potties, free water and people on-hand to help organize lines. Of course, as zeebleoop points out, the Chowdown is NOT a fine dining experience. We are hoping a few small changes (tables, beverages, etc.) will make it easier for people to sample the city's street eats, however. See you all tomorrow!

A non-existent eating area is the LEAST of my complaints about the last Mobile Chowdown. Thanks for choosing to respond to that. And no, I wasn't expecting tables and waiters.
If the purpose of the Chowdown is to get the vendors exposure by having people try out their food, then they failed because no one got to eat anything.

@jinushaun
uh, it's street food not a sit down restaurant. why are you complaining about a non-existant eating area? the entire lot and surrounding streets were the eating area. what were you expecting; your own table and wait staff?

I seriously hope it's organised A LOT better this time. The last Mobile Chowdown was an absolute worthless cluster. No designated queues, one trailer per vendor, one cook and one server per trailer, nearly non-existent eating area, etc. The event was not designed to handle even a few dozen people--let alone the thousands that showed up. How many people were they expecting to show up? For their sake, I hope it is fixed this time around.
