Dry Soda Launches Juniper Berry and Vanilla!

I've been a huge fan of Pioneer-Square based Dry Soda since they launched three years ago--their crisp, carbonated non-alchoholic drink with subtle-and-not-too-sweet flavors such as lavendar, kumquat, lemongrass, rhubarb (my fave) are perfectly refreshing‹and perfectly palatable with savory foods.

They've finally come out with two new flavors, with the guidance of Crush chef/consultant Jason Wilson--Juniper Berry and Vanilla Bean. Though the Juniper Berry is supposed to have a piney flavor they herald as a "non-alcholic gin and tonic," it tasted more blueberry-ish to me. I especially loved the Vanilla Bean--it wasn't cloyingly sweet like most vanilla sodas; just enough of a taste without being overpowering.

Belly up to their tasting bar in their Pioneer Square tasting room at First and Jackson, and check out their web site for creative recipes to turn that dry soda into something more spirited.
