Dig into delicious guacamole at these Seattle restaurants

When Seattle summer is in full swing, there’s nothing better than digging into fresh-mashed bowl of guacamole.

Agua Verde
A zesty guacamole, this one is chock-full of habañeros, onion, cilantro, lime juice and salt (plus a secret ingredient), made daily by Grandma Guadalupe (the real grandmother of almost half the staff). Enjoy it with a margarita at a sunny outdoor table and watch the Portage Bay kayakers glide by. $3.75–$3.95.

La Carta de Oaxaca
The guacamole at this always-packed Mexican mecca is so good, it’s often requested without the fried-to-order chips. Ripe avocados are mashed with garlic, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and jalapeños, and it's made fresh twice a day—once for lunch and once for dinner. $3.

El Camino
This classic guacamole often sells out daily—a testament to its popularity. The creamy fresh mash of avocado, lime juice, salt, white onion and diced jalapeños is served with fried plantain chips and house-made salsa fresco. Savor this nosh on the popular back deck. $8.

Señor Moose
At this small Mexican café, the guacamole has a spicy kick. It’s made to order, with ripe chunks of avocado, onion, jalapeños, cilantro and tomatoes, and is served with fried-to-order chips. $8.50.

Mission
At West Seattle’s sexy Mexican cantina, the fresh, chunky guacamole is packed with cilantro and tart with lime juice. Even better, it comes with spicy fried plantain chips. $6.
