Dan Webb: Stones and Flowers

Thursday, February 18 - Saturday, March 27
Seattle sculptor Dan Webb is known as much for the humor he imparts in his work as for his mastery of the form. With pieces like “Shroud” (2008) and “Drop” (2007), Webb carves wood in such a way that you would swear it was fabric (or water). And with “The New You Machine” (2009), which features a human body made of clay topped by a carousel of potential faces to be slid into place, Webb reveals the true insight behind his wit. This show is innocuously called Stones and Flowers—we can’t wait to see Webb’s interpretation.
