Joseph Stiglitz
Tuesday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m.
One would be hard-pressed to find a more knowledgeable perspective on the current global financial crisis than that of Nobel Prize–winning economist Joseph Stiglitz. His many experiences in the world of finance—among them, his tenure as the Clinton administration’s chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors—have informed his new book, Freefall. He comes to Seattle Arts and Lectures to discuss the book, which explains America’s role in the crisis (spoiler alert: it’s our fault) and outlines a potential solution.
