Happy hour. First Thursday. Passes to movie premieres. These days, I'm always on the lookout for recession-proof recreation. And although I'm a Jazzer-freak (yes, the '80s are back) I was tickled to learn that if I'm willing to get myself out of bed early on a Sunday, I could enjoy a myriad of free fitness classes courtesy of Lululemon.

Ever the Internet explorer, I went online to lululemon.com to find out more about the exercise offerings of the Vancouver-based athletic attire company. I feel like I hit the Jack Lalanne jackpot.

At each of the three locations -- University Village, Pacific Place and Bellevue Square -- there are multiple Sunday morning activities from yoga to running to Pilates to dance. I even spotted a mother-daughter brunch (that's my idea of exercise!) The classes are Lululemon's version of community outreach.

A far cry from the modern mall walk, the hour-long sessions are taught by Lululemon Ambassadors like Stacy Lowenberg, principle ballerina for Pacific Northwest Ballet who will be leading Pilates at Pacific Place on March 29. Classes welcome people from varying levels of experience so even I won't feel foolish strengthening my core.

I'm intrigued. Now if I can stay away from happy hour this Saturday night, I just might join the cardiofunk All That Dance class at U Village at 9:30 on Sunday morning. We'll see about that.

Here are links to more information:
Pacific Place: Yoga, fitness and Pilates classes every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

U Village: Varying classes every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Run club Sunday from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.

Bellevue Square: Varying classes every Sunday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
