Gift Shop Charley + May to Close

A festive scene at Queen Anne's Charley + May

Sad news out of Queen Anne today: Gift shop Charley + May is closing at the end of January. “After three years the shop is not self sustaining,” said owner Lauren Formicola in her email to the public, “and growth of the shop is limited due to location, space and low pedestrian traffic.”

Swing by between now and the end of the month to say goodbye and to snatch up remaining merchandise for 30 to 75 percent off. Displays and shop props are also for sale.

Menswear Moment: Suitsupply Now Open

Amsterdam-based men’s wear shop Suitsupply, has opened downtown on Fifth Avenue, in a 3,800 square foot space once home to Z Gallerie and perhaps an art gallery or two. The Seattle store is Suitsupply’s tenth stateside shop, joining other outposts in New York City, Atlanta and Denver. Read more »
