As many know, an aperitif is a drink taken before dinner. It may have been invented by the Frenchman Joseph Dubonnet in 1846, as one story goes, or, if you travel farther south through Europe, by Antonio Benedetto Carpano in 1786 when he invented sweet vermouth. Capitol Hill's The Chapel Converted to Pine Box, or Beer Heaven

Seattle mag's favorite beer expert Kendall Jones got a sneak peek at the Pine Box, scheduled to open Monday, March 26. The beer-focused bar has taken over the former funeral home which until last year, housed the Chapel. Beer nerds like Kendall are sure to be in heaven:
