Ahh, More Amazon: Amazon is everywhere lately. They recently launched their one-hour delivery system through the app called Prime Now. USA Today reports that this week, through the same app, they are starting a restaurant delivery program. Similar to Postmates, customers will be able to browse menus from nearby restaurants, place an order, and Amazon will pick it up and deliver it to your door. Delivery is free for the time-being, so now is the time to try it out.

New Running Back: ESPN reports that NFL running back Fred Jackson is officially a Seattle Seahawk now.  Previously a beloved member of the Buffalo Bills and a seemingly really awesome dad, Jackson will be one of three running backs on the Seattle squad. Jackson may have been brought in partly due to the loss of Christine Michael, the third-year running back Seattle recently traded away to Dallas for a conditional draft pick. According to ESPN, Marshawn Lynch was also a big factor in Jackson signing with the team, as the two are close friends and previous teammates. We’re happy you’re here, Fred!

Totokaelo to NYC: According to The New York Times, Totokaelo, the Capitol Hill boutique started by Seattleite Jill Wenger, is opening a huge second store in New York City on September 12. The store will span five floors and 8,400 square feet along Crosby Street in Manhattan. Wenger moved to New York last year to expand Totokaelo (already a $17 Million business) to a bigger fashion market. Impulse was the name of Wenger’s first store, which she opened in Seattle in 2003 with the help of her grandparents. Totokaelo Seattle opened in 2008 and will remain open, The New York Times reports.

Kid Scientists: Geekwire reports that this past Saturday, two Seattle girls launched a homemade craft to a height of 78,000 feet in order to catch a glimpse of space. Kimberly and Rececca Yeung, ages 8 and 10, built the craft themselves out of wood and broken arrow shafts and equipped it with two GoPro cameras, a flight computer, a picture of their cat named Loki, and a Lego R2-D2. By attaching the contraption to a weather balloon, the girls were able to capture some pretty awesome footage, which you can view on YouTube.

Passport Day: Need a passport? The Seattle Times reports that you can head in to the Seattle Passport Agency in Downtown Seattle on September 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to apply with no extra fees. This is an awesome deal if you are required to apply in person for a passport (first-time applicants or children under 16). Keep up with all the application requirements here.
