Are You Going to Brew?

If you haven’t attended Seattle magazine’s Brew Seattle the past two years, you’re missing out. The annual local-breweries-only tasting bash corrals some of the best beers from more than 20 breweries like Big Al Brewing, Elysian Brewing and Schooner Exact under one roof and pairs it all with eats aplenty.

This year’s Brew event is on Friday, October 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center along Alaskan Way and there are still tickets available for purchase. (But! We suggest not waiting until the last minute as they’ve sold out rapidly in the past.) Your $28 ticket includes six tasting tokens good for a 5-ounce taste (additional tokens can be scooped up for $2 each) and a fun mini souvenir mug out of which you’ll sip your suds.

As for those aforementioned eats, we’ve rounded up samplings from several food trucks in town, such as 314 Pie, Fish Basket, Big Dog’s, Woodshop BBQ, PapaBois and The Brew Master Bakery. Clearly, you won’t go hungry.

Brew guests will be able to again vote for their favorite brewery to be crowned the Brewery of the Year. Last year, Pike Brewing Company took home the coveted honor. Will a new champion arise in 2015? Or will Pike snag the title for the second consecutive year?

Find out.

Brew Seattle is on Friday, October 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center at 2211 Alaskan Way. Get the full list of breweries pouring here.
