Baleen Opens in Ballard, Fine Jewelry by Mociun at Nordstrom

Baleen Store Opening 
Where: 6418 20th Ave NW, Ballard 
What: Handmade, affordable jewelry is now a stone’s throw away in Ballard. The Seattle-based jewelry brand, Baleen, which has made a name for itself online and in boutiques across the country, has come home to open its first brick-and-mortar store. The store features the brand’s own jewelry, as well as a curated selection of gifts, lifestyle goods and accessories from other modern designers. This location also houses Baleen’s new production studio, which you can peek into while shopping around.

Mociun Capsule Collection at Nordstrom
Where: Downtown Seattle Nordstrom
What: As of yesterday, SPACE at the downtown flagship is featuring a capsule collection of 15 one-of-a-kind, fine jewelry pieces from Mociun. Designer Caitlin Mociun creates fine jewelry inspired by travel and characterized by sustainability and a sophisticated sense of scale. The collection was designed in collaboration with Nordstrom, which is the first retailer to offer Mociun’s cluster styles outside of custom orders. In addition to the downtown Seattle store, pieces will be available online, and range from $1,725 – $4,920.

Haute Hibou Relocates
Where: 11th and Pike, Capitol Hill 
What: The beloved bohemian boutique, Haute Hibou, has moved from its original home in Ballard to a location nearly double the original size–it’s about 900 square feet–on Capitol Hill. The boutique is currently filled with great pieces for fall, including a faux fur leopard jacket from Amuse Society, vintage-inspired baseball tees, beautiful and affordable boho jewelry from Australian designer Native Riot, and more goodies from brands like Free People and Cleobella. OMEGA Opens at The Shops at the Bravern
Where: OMEGA Boutique
700 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue
What: The prestigious Swiss watchmaker OMEGA celebrated its new store opening at The Shops at the Bravern last night. The event featured an appearance by the brand ambassador and honored guest, renowned astronaut General Tom Stafford. The shop is now open to the general public.

Fremont Third Thursday
When: 1-8 p.m. every third Thursday of the month
Where: Fremont neighborhood
What: On October 15, Fremont kicked off its Third Thursday event, a monthly gathering of local bouqtiques that offers discounts, promotional sales and other goodies to shoppers. Fremont Third Thursday celebrates 13 local businesses that help create the diverse character of Fremont, including Pipe and Row, Les Amis and Show Pony. If you missed the first celebration, don’t worry; the next Third Thursday event will be held on November 19.
