2/24–6/14 • Doomsayers have been threatening the demise of the book since, well, since the invention of the printing press, and while books have survived (for now), it’s not always in their original form. In Book Borrowers: Contemporary Artists Transforming the Book, the new show at Bellevue Arts Museum, the book becomes a sculptural object for a dozen artists (both local and beyond) who cut, carve, restructure and basically turn books inside out to reveal and convey new messages. Try doing that with a Kindle. Times and prices vary. Bellevue Arts Museum, 510 Bellevue Way NE; 425.519.0770.
