1/23–2/1 • From eye-opening documentaries to enchanting fables, adventures to animation, the Fourth Annual Children’s Film Festival Seattle—the biggest yet, with 80 films from 25 countries—has something for every child. Check out JUMP! a documentary about competitive jump roping, or The Snow Queen a part animated, part live-action adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen story (both recommended for ages 8 and older). Exploring important issues from a kid’s point of view and exploding with flat-out fun, the film festival also offers hands-on activities to keep your child’s imagination engaged. Times and prices vary. Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave.; 206.267.5380; childrensfilmfestivalseattle.org.
