2/12 • Twenty-five years after he charmed us by wearing an absurdly oversized suit in the 1984 Talking Heads tour documentary Stop Making Sense, the hugely talented musician (and visual artist, and director, and choreographer) David Byrne is on the road again. This time he’ll perform songs from his 2008 album Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, which he wrote in collaboration with Brian Eno (another guy with a stunner of a musical resume). The two men—whose previous joint album was 1981’s experimental My Life in the Bush of Ghosts—wrote the songs, which they describe as “electronic Gospel,” over e-mail, and have made the album available free for streaming online (everythingthathappens.com). Older but no less edgy than they were in 1981, Byrne and Eno’s latest has been called “as weird and wonderful as ever,” by the Chicago Tribune, and lauded by countless other critics. Word has it that although Eno isn’t joining him on tour, Byrne will perform songs from both their combined efforts. If we’re lucky, maybe he’ll encore with a couple of those big suit faves. 7:30 p.m. $45. Benaroya Hall, 200 University St.; 206.215.4747; theparamount.com.
