Early spring’s crisp air and afternoon sunshine lure us outdoors for fun with our four-legged friends. From Marymoor to Magnuson, a plethora of dog-friendly parks offer options for open running and playtime: and leashed, leisurely strolls through the neighborhood are a daily delight.

The Brits have long brought doggie love elements into their dwellings. Want to capture their classic canine-couture look with a twist? This spring, consider adding some pooch-inspired pizazz to your pad. Start with a few stately old-school staples, such as a Louis XV-style armchair with a houndstooth cushion and needlepoint beagle pillow from Pacific Galleries (SoDo; 241 S Lander St.; 206.292.3999; pacgal.com), and an early 20th century mahogany oval serving table from Haystack Antiques (Bellevue; 144 105th Ave. NE; 425.455.1515; haystackantiques.com). Charming dog-shaped topiaries (available to order in any breed) are the perfect complement to an assortment of vintage canine collectibles from Urban Dogs (Bellevue; 2036 Bellevue Square; 425.456.0009; urban-dogs.com). Sniff out designer, dog-themed accessories, such as Maitland Smith’s gorgeous Labrador lamp and bronze hound-head box from Henredon & Schoener (Bellevue; 700 Bellevue Way NE; 425.454.9000; henredonschoener.com). You’ll want to unwind after your stroll, so prop up your paws on a fabulous floral tapestry footstool, gaze at a sweet painting of playful pups and sip on something served from a handsome little tray-top table, all from Paisley Cupboard (Kirkland; 141 Park Lane; 425.828.2648). I suggest a steaming hot cup of tea from Haystack Antiques’ pewter teapot or a shot of whisky from Urban Dogs’ vintage Jim Beam bulldog decanter. Now sit back with Fido, relax, and admire your designer, doggy-themed digs. Woof!
