Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson's relatable writings on her life as a pediatrician and mom on her blog, Seattle Mama Doc, have made her the face of the newest generation of doctors who are reaching out to patients and the community via social media; so much so, her Twitter was named one of Time magazine's best feeds of 2013. Now she's releasing a book, Mama Doc Medicine: Finding Calm and Confidence in Parenting, Child Health, and Work-Life Balance, which channels Swanson's sought-after musings on parenting, children’s health and more. In our own interview with her, she talks frankly about how having children changed the way she listens to the parents of her young patients—and the reality of doing it all.
