Must Ooh and Ahh
Atomic Bombshells Burlesque Show at The Triple Door

(11/21 to 11/25, times vary) The Jetsons meets Gypsy Rose Lee in Lost in Space, the latest burlesque show by Seattle’s bodacious Atomic Bombshells, featuring BenDeLaCreme, Kitten La Rue, Lou Henry Hoover and Waxie Moon.

Must Do-Re-Mi
The 5th Avenue Theatre Presents The Sound of Music

(11/24 to 1/3/2016, times vary) On the 50th anniversary of the release of its beloved cinematic adaptation, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most popular Broadway musical comes to Seattle for the holidays. Watch again as Maria is embraced by the von Trapps and ultimately restores their sense of family.

Must Gobble
Green Lake Gobble and Mashed Potato Munch Off

Sunday (11/22, 8 a.m.) Run, walk or gobble through Green Lake Park and participate in a 10K or 5K walk/run. Rather eat than run? The Mashed Potato Munch Off competition could be for you. Finish up at the beer garden.

Must See
(Re)Presenting Native Americans Exhibit Opens

(Opens 11/21, times vary) The Tacoma Art Museum’s Haub wing houses a newly acquired collection of paintings depicting the American West. Many of the works portray an imagined, culturally inaccurate version of the region, so TAM took the somewhat radical step of including personal responses from contemporary Native Americans next to the standard plaques. TAM continues this important, if tense, discussion with the new exhibit (Re)Presenting Native Americans, featuring paintings of Native Americans from the 1800s onward.

Must Hear
Seattle Symphony Presents Mahler’s Symphony No. 10

(11/19, 11/21 and 11/22, times vary) For the first time on the Seattle Symphony stage, Principal Guest Conductor Thomas Dausgaard conducts Mahler’s Symphony No. 10, a rip-roaringly emotional and ecstatic piece.

This piece was edited on December 3. Principal guest conductor Thomas Dausgaard conducted Mahler’s Symphony No. 10.
