The Moore Center (moorecenterclinic.com), Washington State’s longest-established comprehensive treatment center for eating disorders, opened a new 15,000-square- foot facility in Bellevue in March.

The expansion will enable the center to accommodate more patients (a growing number of whom are veterans) and minimize the waiting list for treatment, eliminating a barrier for patients who are motivated to finally seek help. The new digs include an art studio, yoga studio, two fully functional demonstration kitchens that a celebrity chef would envy, plus a serene dining room, medical exam rooms and a classroom—all in support of partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and other programs for children, adolescents and adults.

The Moore Center is also the only eating disorder treatment facility in the state offering multiple levels of care to receive the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission, the organization that accredits and certifies hospitals and other health-care organizations.
