Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso
Unless you’ve been working at the International Space Station for the past six months, you’re probably aware there’s a Picasso exhibit in Seattle this fall. It’s a genuine big deal, featuring more than 150 works—representing all 80 years of Pablo Picasso’s career—pulled from his personal collection, by which he intended to be remembered. Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition
Holy frak! The Science Fiction Museum’s new interstellar exhibit features authentic props (including three full-size set spaceships), costumes and multimedia displays from Battlestar Galactica, both the original television show and the various spinoff series. Don’t be a Cylon. Gather your own “ragtag fugitive fleet” and head to the SFM. 10/23–3/4/2012. 10 a.m.–5 p.m. $12–$15 (children younger than 4, free). Seattle Radio Theatre: Dracula
Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre is best know for its 1938 radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds, but months before freaking people out during that show, it aired a live radio version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Seattle Radio Theatre is reproducing this take on the Gothic tale, live, onstage with plenty

Ethan Stowell’s New Italian Kitchen
Chef Stowell has invigorated the Seattle scene with four critically acclaimed restaurants—Tavolàta, How to Cook a Wolf, Anchovies & Olives and the dearly departed Union—and in August he opened Staple & Fancy Mercantile in Ballard. Last month he published Ethan Stowell’s New Italian Kitchen (Ten Speed Press, $35), a must-have for any chef seeking insight on how Stowell works his many magical feats.
Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival
Hosted by Seattle’s Three Dollar Bill Cinema, the 15th annual Lesbian and Gay Film Festival celebrates movies by and about the LGBT community. While the lineup was still t.b.d. at press time, based on past fests we can promise plenty of shorts, features and documentaries from emerging, established and edgy talent. 10/15–10/24.
