First it protested, now the Mount Calvary Christian Center in the Central District is taking matters a bit more seriously in regards to its proximity to Uncle Ike’s pot shop at 23rd Avenue and Union Street.

Despite all the rain and wind the past few days, we experienced a gorgeous sunrise this morning. Case in point:

A windy weekend left many–including a few wine tasting rooms in Woodinville I attempted to visit–without power. Mercer Island school is delayed and crews are still working to get everyone back on the grid.

Friends and family are mourning 14-year-old Gia Soriano, the second victim in Friday’s shooting at Marysville Pilchuck High School.

More on Marysville: Kiro 7 News is reporting that a first-year female social studies teacher is the person responsible for stopping the gunman. According to a student who was there: “I believe she’s actuality the real hero. She’s the one that intercepted him with the gun. He tried either reloading or tried aiming at her. She tried moving his hand away and he tried shooting and shot himself in the neck.”
