Haute Hibou sale event

Seattle native Rachel Brown was inspired to open her boutique Haute Hibou when she realized that her style needs weren’t being met in her own city. Haute Hibou carries chic bohemian-inspired clothing and accessories—anything from dream catchers to kimonos, summer-inspired maxi dresses and rompers. And in honor of festival season, it’s having a sale on May 16, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m, boasting 15 percent off everything. On top of that, every $100 you spend earns you $10 off a future purchase. Channel your inner gypsy with a henna tattoo by local artist Mehndi Madness, who will be on hand at the sale between 2 and 4 p.m. And we just got the inside scoop—Haute Hibou will be moving from Ballard into a new Pioneer Square location, date to be announced.

Luly Yang annual summer sale

It’s hard to walk by Luly Yang’s storefront without ogling her elegant wedding gowns. Last month, the chic designer debuted her ready-to-wear lines, hoping to inspire women to feel confident and feminine in all of their evening wear. This week, Luly Yang launches its summer sample sale, where evening wear, cocktail attire, bridal gowns, shoes, handbags and mens accessories will all be 33 percent off for a limited time only.

Zara opening in Bellevue

Trendy international retailer Zara is opening a new store in Bellevue Square. The store will be taking over the 26,000-square-foot former JC Penney location sometime this fall. This comes as part of the company’s overall expansion—it’s scheduled to open over a dozen new stores in 2015 in other major U.S. cities.

Agave Denim Trunk show

The high fashion retailer will be premiering the Agave Men’s spring collection—a Santa Monica denim brand designed in Portland and handcrafted in California. The trunk show will offer guests a selection of unique denim styles and lightweight knits tailored to the West coast culture. The shop is also hosting a happy hour on Friday May 22 from 4 to 6 p.m.
