Thank you to everyone that showed up to run and help make our community a little bit greener at Seattle magazine’s Earth Day 5k!

With nearly 1,000 people at Bell Harbor on April 20th we kicked off our inaugrual Earth Day 5k in full stride.  The course ran along the downtown waterfront through Myrtle Edwards park on a beautiful, overcast Seattle morning- hey at least we didn’t get wet! The fun continued afterwards with activities ranging from yoga with REI instructors, free grilled flatbreads courtesy of Whole Foods and Albert Lee, a $2 New Belgium beer garden and more.  Proceeds from the race benefitted Green Seattle Partnership and Sustainable Seattle.  Our friends at New Belgium also raffeld off a cruiser bike with 100% proceeds to the victims of the Boston Marathon.

Check back here later this summer for details about Earth Day 5k 2014. Thank you for your support!

Here are a few highlights from the day, check our Facebook Album on Inside Seattle for more pictures and to tag yourself!
