Veuve Clicquot’s Mail Truck Stops in Seattle

The Veuve Clicquot Mail Truck stems from Madame Clicquot herself, the French businesswoman who took over her husband’s wine company at the age of 27 upon his death. Inspired by Madame Clicquot’s correspondence style–snail mail–the glam rig, decked out in the company’s signature yellow color, is traveling around the country encouraging people to send handwritten letters to family and friends (an oh-so-enjoyable activity in this age of e-mail, texting, and facetime) and will be dispensing delectable appetizers (think oysters and truffle fries) and Veuve samples.

The truck will be in Seattle this weekend so get your palates ready! Here are the dates, times and locations: 

Friday, August 15 at Daniel’s Broiler – Lake Union from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m: For $15, guests will receive a complimentary small appetizer and a flute of Yellow Label, and for $75, guests will receive a complimentary large appetizer and a bottle of Yellow Label. Appetizer options include fresh oysters, crunchy popcorn shrimp, and truffle fries.

Saturday, August 16 at Daniel’s Broiler – Leschi from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.: Guests can take in views of the Cascades and Mt. Rainier while enjoying fresh seafood and special offers on Veuve Clicquot. Complimentary small appetizers are available with each purchase of a $15 flute of Veuve and large appetizers for each purchase of a $75 bottle. Appetizer options include fresh oysters, crunchy popcorn shrimp, and truffle fries.

Sunday, August 17 at Duke’s Chowder House in West Seattle from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m.: Guests will get specials on Veuve Clicquot and of course, stunning views of the downtown Seattle skyline and Puget Sound.
