Women’s Collegiate Gear from Wishbone Now at Nordstrom

Team spirit of the stylish variety that's perfect for college gameday

It’s going to be a glorious weekend for college football: Stanford vs. Washington, Notre Dame vs. Syracuse, Cincinnati vs. Ohio State. My dad, an Ohio State fan, just called with his prediction for that game (which has been the only thing on this Cincinnati fan’s mind for months): UC 42 OSU 35. Go UC!

Last fall, we filled you in on local gem Wishbone, a women’s collegiate apparel brand started by Washington State University grad Jessamy Staeb. I wrote about how utterly fantastic it was to see a fan gear line for ladies that was not only local, but also stylish, well fitting and actually displayed school colors. I have nothing against pink, but if it’s not part of my team’s colors, I don’t want it on my spiritwear.

Now, you can shop Wishbone’s 2014 collection at Nordstrom (online and in stores in its BP department) as well as via Fanatics.com

“I’ve always believed that many of Nordstrom’s customers are sports fans, too, so I am thrilled customers can now find our latest collegiate collection [there],” Wishbone’s Staeb says.

What to expect? A slew of relaxed-fit tees and tanks, plus super soft hoodies and sweatshirts for those cooler-weather games, all with some fun unexpected touches, such as throwback logos, wide cuffs with thumbholes and ombre stripes. “Each sihouette is carefully designed so that every customer has the opportunity to make it her own, whether it’s tucked into high-waisted shorts or worn with a pair of boyfriend jeans,” she says.

I’ve got my outfit–with a white Wishbone long-sleeved top–all prepared for tomorrow’s game, not to mention my Cincinnati-style chili, UC flags and red-and-black pom poms (yes, I’m a lunatic). You’ve got plenty of time before tomorrow’s Husky or Cougars games to nab your cute fan gear. Go team!
