A Group Health study shows a link between yoga and insomnia

Is yoga one of the secrets to the Seahawks’ success? Coach Pete Carroll may be on to something, this year putting players on a mandatory yoga training regimen, with optional meditation practice, as part of Carroll’s philosophy of caring for players’ minds along with their bodies. If it’s good enough for Marshawn, it’s good enough for the rest of us; according to a recent Group Health study, menopausal women who do yoga may find a perk in addition to finding their own inner “beast mode”—a fix for insomnia.
