Master monologist, former Seattleite, and top contender for funniest man on the planet Mike Daisey has a new show, The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, in which he chronicles his total geek love for Mac products, and his horrifying discovery of how they are made. Here’s my haiku review:

So flippin’ funny.
Powerpoint slam is priceless.
End gets preachy. Rats.

The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs runs at the Seattle Repertory Theatre through May 22.

ALSO! Daisey will perform another of his hilarious shows, How Theater Failed America, one night only (May 18, 7 p.m. at the Seattle Rep) as a fundraiser for the artists who lost out on expected employment when the Intiman Theatre suddenly closed last month. I’ve seen this performance as well, and it is a truly hilarious, truly searing critique of the current state of theater big and small, in Seattle and beyond. If you’ve ever wondered how theaters stay open, why they close, and why they pick the performances they do, you must see the show. You’ll gain all kinds of insight and you’ll help the local theater community—all while you’re laughing your guts out.
