Modern home and lifestyle retailer, Digs, is moving south from its Bellingham roots and opening a new, expanded location in Ballard. The store, which has been around since 2008, debuts in its 4,000 square foot space on Saturday, March 9 during art walk, in the same block as the Majestic Bay at 2002 NW Market St.
If you’re a modern décor lover Digs roster of brands will be a marvel: Jonathan Adler, DwellStudio, Chilewich, Marimekko, Thomas Paul, Roost and more. Owners Gretchen and Ben Knudsen describe their style as “mid-century/Scandinavian modern with a Northwest twist,” which is exactly how some people describe Ballard itself.
“There are a lot of great home décor stores in Seattle but nothing quite like Digs,” says Gretchen. “We try to offer a very holistic array of furniture and lifestyle items. Here, shoppers can invest in beautiful yet affordable and modern furniture pieces for their home, pick up a distinctive gift for a friend, or find a special new decorative item for their baby nursery all in the same place.”
Sounds like if you miss Velocity something fierce, you’ll find a new home at Digs.
