Don't Let Fall Slow You Down
Just because summer has officially ended doesn’t mean you can’t get outdoors and enjoy the early Fall before it gets too cold and rainy. The North Cascades Institute has scheduled more “off-season” programs than ever this year. Some upcoming highlights include:
- Autumn Beauty: A Watercolor Feast with watercolor painter and teacher Molly Hashimoto (Oct. 1-3 at the Learning Center)
- Toadstools, Fairy Rings and Witch's Butter: Northwest Mushrooms with naturalist Lee Whitford (Oct. 30 at Deception Pass State Park)
- Eagles and Salmon: Northwest Icons of the Skagit (Dec. 18 in the Skagit Valley)
- Nooksack Snowshoe Excursion with David Moskowitz (Feb. 20 along the upper reaches of the Nooksack River)
Spots are limited on these trips, so sign up now if one or more interests you. North Cascades Institute Registrar: 360-856-5700.
