North Cascades Institute Posts 2010 Offerings

The non-profit North Cascades Institute just released its 2010 program schedule, and as usual, there are some great offerings for those who like to get outdoors and explore the world around us. First up, on the weekend on March 27-28 at the Institute's Learning Center campus along the shores of Diablo Lake within North Cascades National Park, is a two-day program with photographer Lee Mann, whose roots in the region stretch back to before Washington was a state. Mann has been photographing the wonders of the Pacific Northwest for three decades, and he has stories to tell about getting those great images. Mann will also discuss the environmental changes he has seen in the North Cascades and beyond during his tenure as one of the premiere photographers in the region. Don't miss this two-day season kick-off event. Also, browse through the other offerings the Insitute has up its sleeve this year; those who sign up before the end of March will save $50 on their registration fee. From family getaways to "Diablo downtime" to birding to painting to howling from the mountaintops with the ghosts of Beat writers, the Institute's programs are sure to inspire.
