The Weekend Must List: December 4-6

Our top to-do's for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Renée Fleming, Benaroya Hall
Internationally acclaimed soprano, Renée Fleming, kicks off the Seattle Symphony’s Distinguished Artist series with a one-night-only appearance at Benaroya Hall. Her countless lead roles at the Metropolitan Opera and the soundtrack for The Lord of the Rings (in Tolkien’s made-up Elvish language) are well-known to opera geeks and Hobbit nerds. We’d be happy to hear anything—in English, Italian, German or Elvish. 8 p.m. Prices vary. Benaroya Hall, 200 University St.; 206.215.4747;

Fireside Chat with Langdon Cook, Hotel 1000
