Assemble Gallery & Studio is a gallery, workspace and retail store all rolled into one (we’ve been big fans  since they opened last fall—check out our story on the unique space here). Deli is a clothing store, but designed to resemble a deli with shirts folded neatly on bakery racks and all t-shirt purchase are rolled and wrapped to look like sub sandwiches. The menswear shop carries contemporary couture brands which are otherwise hard to find in Seattle. Check out the California-based B:Scott menswear brand (shirts, $68) which is also suitable for women thanks to their XXS sizes or the Obey line with super-soft t-shirt/tank dresses ($49).

It’s official. I’m too old for the rumpled yet cool college sweatpants and t-shirt look.  It’s okay, though, because now I get to shop at boutiques like Vu where I can find clothes that are stylish enough for the office or an evening out. This bright and well-edited shop specializes in high-end vintage clothes ranging from the 1920’s to almost modern-day. From a lightweight Escada wool shirt ($85) to a Chanel Creations coat ($995), Vu's prices reflect the quality and condition of the shop's inventory.

Bike lovers, kick-off the cycling season this Sunday at the Cascade Bicycle Club’s Chilly Hilly on Bainbridge Island. Whether you’re into fast-paced-edge-of-your-tiny-seat racing or leisurely day treks, this 33 mile ride—packed with 2,675 feet of climbing--is a scenically breathtaking and challenging race. Fair warning: as its name suggests, the race can be both chilly and hilly (and also damp), so layer up!
