Food News: Il Corvo Opens, Brandi Carlysle Plays Free Shows on Capitol Hill, More!

Il Corvo, an artisanal pasta bar that serves lunch and dinner, opens today inside Procopio Gelato on the Pike Place Market hill climb. The chef is Mike Easton, who worked his pasta magic at Bizarro before helping open Lecosho. Yum: Look at today's menu!

Makers of the awesome Zip Royale and one of the featured lunches from last month's Best Restaurants issue, Zippy's Giant Burgers is still not quite open in their new location in White Center. But they're close! We hear within the week.

How did we miss that one? Varro, the open-all-day Italian cafe right next to wood-fired bagel shop Eltana, opened a few weeks back. Prosecco, panino, and pastas look to be the focus.

The Pantry at Delancey has announced its cooking class schedule! However, the official opening date for the Pantry is still not set. But hurry kids: the classes (especially the pizza-making ones with Brandon Pettit from Delancey) are going fast.

And hey, didja hear? Brandi Carlile is playing two free shows (that we know of!) on Capitol Hill tomorrow. First, at Cupcake Royale on Pike Street (btw 11th and 12th) at 4pm, and then at Molly Moon's on Pine and 10th at 7pm.
