The sun's been shining, the weather's warming up. It's that time of year again, when Seattle's neighborhood farmers markets are on the verge of their 2013 seasons.

The big news in local fashion right now is Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection. From September 26 through 30, downtown Bellevue, with Lincoln Square, Bellevue Place and Bellevue Square at its locus, will be abuzz with reliably well-produced runway shows and fun beauty and trend events, both free and ticketed.

November 7 will be quite the day for raising the Emerald City's national profile; Bravo is debuting, not only the much buzzed about Top Chef Seattle, but also a new "doc-com" about Seattle-based entertainment site, I Can Has Cheezburger?

Wow. So for once while watching football, I wasn't the only one in the room who had no clue what was going on. Seattle Seahawks' 14-12 win over the Green Bay Packers has fueled what some predict will be a season-long debate (sure it will, at least until something else interesting happens). I have no expertise whatsoever to add to the conversation (except this: Brandon Mebane is a fine dancer). But here are a few memorable reactions from people who presumably know what they are talking about:

I have discovered the perfect gift for any native Seattleite who thinks he/she has done everything in this city. Two words: Seaplane tour ($87.50 per person for a 20-minute flight departing from Lake Union; seattleseaplanes.com).

My first meal at Lampreia, Scott Carsberg's epic, nationally praised fine dining restaurant which lived in the space that Carsberg's Bisato now calls home, well, it must've been in 1999 or 2000. Back then--as now, though perhaps less-so--Carsberg's reputation for perfectionism--along with a firey temper--preceded him.

As you may know, Washington State liquor laws have changed dramatically this year. I talked about it here back in June, which doesn’t seem that long ago. But in the rapidly changing liquor landscape, that’s much longer than it seems. Since then, we've heard about spirit and booze sales plunging, people moon-shining bottles across the Oregon border, and everything was breaking like a dropped glass.

Last week marked the official 175th anniversary of Tiffany & Co., a landmark the iconic American company has marked by resetting the 128.54-carat, 135 year-old Tiffany yellow diamond in a platinum setting with 481 white diamonds totaling over 120 carats — just a little bauble.

Just got back from a week in sizzling So Cal, visiting my sis, going to see The Book of Mormon (Yes, it lived up to the hilarious hype. Get your tickets for the Seattle dates!) and soaking up loads of local flavor. Had the BEST Mexican food ever – crispy duck skin tacos at a place called CaCao Mexicatessen, y’all! – and lapped up the most velvety rich organic butterscotch ice cream at an adorable place called Mother Moo in Sierra Madres.

Hello, hello. Master of the Obvious here to report that Bravo has just "revealed" that Season 10 of Top Chef will be located in Seattle. Herm... I think a little birdy might've broken that news earlier this summer? The show debuts November 7th at 10pm. And naturally, first thing I did when I got the press release was search the lineup for a local cheftestant.

With celebrity clients like Michelle Obama, Diane Sawyer and Jennifer Garner, Rachel Roy has established herself as the thinking woman’s clothing designer. Her collections are savvy, smart, wearable and touch on sexy rather than scream it. Perhaps best known for her apparel, Roy also does shoes. She’ll be at the Downtown Nordstrom store on Thursday, September 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to promote her Fall 2012 collections.

Our fearless arts and culture editor took on the Great Wheel to promote her top picks from our Fall Arts Guide on Art Zone with Nancy Guppy. Watch the full episode to enjoy an interview with artist Cassandra Blackmore, who shatters glass on purpose, and to hear a live performance from indie rocker Rocky Votolato. Finally, watch all of Brangien's segment to hear Nancy's (impromptu) review of the "great" ride right at the end:

What's that you say? You've never read the U.S. Constitution from start to finish? Or did you just mean you haven't read it aloud, on stage, with friends and strangers watching you, and stirring musical accompaniment spurring you forward? Well, now you can.
