Rummage through works by local artists at Ouch My Eye Gallery's summer Y(art) sale this First Thursday
Mostly low brow, but always fun, art gallery Ouch My Eye is hosting a summer sale for local artists at its SoDo home tomorrow. Artists were asked to clear their studios of "forgotten works" and bring them in for sale at August's First Thursday gallery walk. Prices are affordable, topping out at $150. 5 - 11 p.m. 1022 First Avenue S, SoDo; 206.381.8457; www.ouchmyeye.com/.
Don't miss local indie "folkestral" darlings Hey Marseilles at the Moore Theatre this Thursday
Although early-'90's alt-rockers Toad the Wet Sprocket may technically be heading an upcoming show at the Moore Theatre this Thursday, we're willing to bet opening band Hey Marseilles is the reason most people snap up tickets.
If you haven't yet seen them, check out this video shot and directed by Seattle magazine photographer Hayley Young. Then snap up tickets of your own.
Tod Leiweke is leaving the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders for an ownership post with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.
Leiweke's resignation as CEO of Paul Allen's Vulcan Sports and Entertainment was announced Monday, but he will stay with Vulcan until his successor is hired.
