MUST BORROW
Art Lending Library

Let a little art into your home. Attend the free Art Lending Library opening at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in West Seattle, sign up for a free A.L.L. library card and check out (as in borrow) any available piece on loan from a local artist. The friendly librarians will deliver the piece personally and hang it in your office or home (part of the agreement with the artists is that borrowed art is not handled by anyone except the librarians). If you’re thinking, gee, that’s a smart way to get pressured into buying art. Don’t! The experience is completely not-for-profit and all about increasing personal connections to art - not sales. Openings only happen every few months (to allow plenty of time for art delivery, enjoyment and pickup), so don't wait.

12/5. 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Free. Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, Second floor, 4408 Delridge Way SW; artlendinglibrary.net/ALL; Look for entrance signs at the side door off the main north lot.

MUST JAZZ
Jose Gonzales Trio performs A Charlie Brown Christmas

Enjoy Vince Guaraldi’s classic jazz score for A Charlie Brown Christmas in the flesh, including the swinging “Linus and Lucy” and an unforgettable arrangement of “Greensleeves.” Local Jose Gonzales Trio performs it for one night only at the Erickson Theatre Off Broadway in Seattle. In case you didn't know: Vince Guaraldi jazz scores captured Charlie Brown’s melacholy and balanced it with the perfect dose of warm holiday nostalgia when the Peanuts series first became an animated holiday special. Preview it below:

12/5, 8p.m. $15. Erickson Theatre, 1524 Harvard Ave.; 800.838.3006; http://www.strawshop.org/
