If the recent glimpse of sunny weather hasn’t given you hope that spring is near then a visit to West Seattle’s always funky and fun Clementine is in order. I popped in last week and found warmer weather inspiration in their newly arriving spring inventory. The first standout item was their small but growing selection of West Seattle-based Chemical Wedding clutches and handbags—featured in our 2009 shopping issue—made from lovingly worn-in new and recycled leather ($168-$260).

Matt Dillon's not exactly leaving Eastlake. Not entirely anyways. He's part-owner of Nettletown, which is opening in the Eastlake stripmall location where his beloved Sitka & Spruce (which closed at the end of the year, to reopen on Capitol Hill in the next couple of months) once lived.
