!–paging_filter–pa href=”https://www.facebook.com/temperbrand” target=”_blank”Temper/a jewelry is another in a growing list of fair trade, philanthropic partnerships producing extremely hip designs (see a href=”http://local.seattlemag.com/spotlight-uxibal“Uxibal/a and a href=”http://local.seattlemag.com/bag-crush-thread-and-loom“Thread Loom/a). The brand, debuting on February 3, is designed in Seattle, but made by artisans in Cambodia out of recycled bombshells, bullet casings and precious metals like 18k gold and platinum. The Cambodians who work with Temper receive a living wage, benefits, educational stipends and work in a humane environment./p

pTemper jewelry, which clocks in around the $40 mark depending on style/metal, includes dainty teardrop, snake, bone and teeth motifs on necklaces and rings that are perfect for layering. I haven’t seen these in person yet (the line launched on February 3), but from what I see (and from the sound of the price point), Temper is bound to be a winner./p
pCheck out their Facebook page for more pre-release images and news on when and where to purchase./p
