City Arts Fest
Ongoing (10/17–10/20) — It’s time again for the City Arts Festival, when venues across town collude to bring you a city-wide explosion of music, film, dance, theater and visual art. This year’s extravaganza includes dancers KT Niehoff and Zoe Scofield, local bands Ravenna Woods (shown above), Lemolo and Fresh Espresso, artists Jesse Higman and Susan Robb—and that is just the tippy-top of the iceberg.

Great Pumpkin Beer Fest
Opens Friday (10/19–10/20 ) — Held in Elysian Brewery’s Georgetown facility, the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival features more than 60 pumpkin brews, plus a 200-pound, beer-filled Great Pumpkin that’s tapped to dispense drinks until it runs dry. Happy harvest, indeed.

Hugo House Literary Series
Friday (10/19) — See writers Steve Almond (Candyfreak) and poet Matthew Zapruder (Come on All You Ghosts) and spoken-word artist Eliana Ellis all present new stories along the theme of ¡Viva la Revolucion! Also, musician (and, full disclosure, husband of Seattle mag arts & culture editor Brangien Davis) Daniel Spils of Maktub will play brand-new revolutionary songs.

Kid’s Corn Maze
Ongoing daily — Darigold’s Farmalicious Corn Maze is in full swing at the Thomasson Family Farm in Enumclaw, featuring 216,000 square feet of corn maze waiting for you to get lost in. All October long, the farm will be abuzz with pumpkin carving, apple slingshot competitions and other fun activities special to the harvest season.
